Real Weddings: Lauren & Jim

Lauren and Jim will finish off a short engagement with (if their wedding invitation design is any indication) a fabulous ceremony in Austin, Texas next month.

Jim had already created an initial design for the invite when Lauren contacted me early last month about placing a rush order. Since the design was already off to a great start and Lauren would be handling the outer envelopes herself, I decided to go for it and managed to deliver just a few days later than her ideal "in-hand" date of April 1st.

The theme: confetti. The colors: navy blue, lavendar, a range of pinks, and a touch of silver.  I did very little to the invite itself, just a slight rearrangement of the names and text to balance out the L shape created by the confetti image along the left side and bottom.  We used the same confetti image for the three enclosures, which stack together to create a sort of mirror image when tucked into the pocket opposite the invite.

The pocket folder is finished off with a silver glitter belly band and layered paper embellishment with the couple's first names.

Needless to say, I'm still finding silver glitter in the nooks and crannies of my work area!  But I'm trying my best to keep subsequent orders I've been working on this week glitter-free.  That said, if you find a little something extra in your order, you'll know why (I'm kidding!).

Congratulations, Lauren & Jim!
