fresh from the Makery: spring fever stationery

This week's post, like this week's project, won't take long. Since I was out of town this weekend - and it's on the weekend that I usually get most of my Makery work done - I had to come up with something I could quickly put into production today and finish this evening. Picking up on the stack of paper goods I mentioned in last week's project, I decided to apply my own spring fever design inspiration to a set of ten correspondence cards with matching envelopes.

The flat celadon cards measure a tad bigger than four by six inches. There's a grass motif at top, framed by a magenta ring, which matches the Zen proverb printed at the bottom. "Sitting quietly, doing nothing, spring comes, and the grass grows by itself."

I added a translucent magenta liner to the envelopes, which was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. Although I guess I should confess that I've only done the one so far, for the photo op. I'll have the other nine finished by the end of the week, though. So if, like Rachel in that one episode of Friends, you need to catch up on your correspondence, leave a comment on this post and this spring fever stationery set could be yours.

Ok....so that correspondence card is absolutely gorgeous! I had to re-read the blog to make sure that you actually made it yourself....it looks customized from Crane's or William Arthur. Very nice!

Thanks, Billy! Crane's paper but yes, I did the design and printing (on my new printer!) and I'm working on adding the liners...I guess I learned a little something from my year in retail :)

I have to second B2's comments! I personally am a fan of the rounded edges and the quote on the bottom--great design. I also have had time to explore The Makery, and I love it!

Thanks, Brenna! I'm a sucker for round corners, using my paper punch on anything with straight edges! Just to clarify, though (because I don't want to send you unsolicited stationery!), do your nice comments (and this goes for Billy, too) mean you'd be interested in receiving this set for free? That's how the Makery works but I'm finding that that tidbit of information sometimes gets lost in the details...

I have to say they look very professional! And the quote is awesome.

Yes, of course I want them! I want everything you make. Proud Auntie would be pleased to have anything you make.

Becky great job for such a short period of time. I need to learn from you to make such great simple items.

Ok Becky "Jareb" for some reason is me - Auntie Karen. I will see what this brings up as a post - I went in and created a blog and profile so hopefully it will be ME!!! I do, as always love your stuff and yes would be honored (just like the cheerio beads) to be added to your weekly drawing.

Mer, sorry you missed this one! But stay tuned for more stationery in the weeks to come. I have a lot of paper on hand, so I'm sure there will be at least one other stationery project!
